Upcoming “Young and the Restless Spoilers” for Wednesday, May 4 promise a day of Newman family anguish as they prepare to say their final goodbyes to Sage.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) helps Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) get ready for Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) memorial. He also continually reassures his little girl that Sage will forever be in their hearts, even if she can’t be with them anymore in person.

Sharon (Sharon Case) isn’t sure that she’s emotionally prepared attend Sage’s funeral. She tells Dylan (Steve Burton) that she’s too upset to go, but it’s obvious that her guilt is eating away at her. Dylan makes sure she gets ready, because there’s no way either of them can miss this day.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) faces Victoria’s wrath. If Nikki hadn’t sold her voting shares, then Victor (Eric Braeden) wouldn’t have been able to sell off Brash and Sassy. Vicky is still stinging from the loss of her division.

Adam (Justin Hartley) learns that he’s been named in Sage’s will and wonders what his friend could have left him. Adam can’t shake the feeling that Sage somehow found out that he was Christian’s dad, and that’s what she wants to tell him from beyond the grave.

At the jail, Victor works harder at getting close to Dr. Meredith (Alicia Coppola). He lays it on thick using Sage’s death as a way to bond. Victor asks the doc to do a huge favor and go to Sage’s memorial to make sure Nick knows he’s torn up about his son’s loss.

At The Athletic Club, Lily (Christel Khalil) overhears Max (Jared Breeze) and Abby’s (Melissa Ordway Gaston) argument and wants to know what’s going on. When she learns of Abby’s accusations and that the cops want to see the security tapes, she issues a warning that going after an eight-year-old could be devastating to Abby’s marriage to Stitch.

Luckily for Max, he hears that the police are on their way to see the tapes, and he gets the chance to destroy the evidence. When the task seems too daunting, he simply sets the entire room on fire.

Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) takes Sage’s death as an opportunity to try to make some sleazy business moves. First, he turns to Devon (Bryton James) to drum up a deal, but when that doesn’t work, he tries to convince Victor to put him in charge.

Sage’s memorial is held at Chancellor Park in the same spot Nick and Sage were wed. One by one the Newman family speaks, with Faith giving a heartbreaking talk about the stepmother she loved so much.

When it’s Nick’s turn to say some words, his emotions get the best of him. His eulogy quickly goes from heartbreak to rage. His son is dead, his life killed in a car accident, and he’s all alone to deal with the losses. Just when things look like they can’t get any worse, Sharon stands up to tell Nick he’s wrong. He’s not alone after all.
