For God’s sake, Devon (Bryton James), 56% of you rage, give Chance a couple of minutes to come back home and get used to being a husband and new father. Yes, he’s nervous. What new dad isn’t? Yes, he’s suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. What vet doesn’t? You can’t just swoop in and decide Chance isn’t a fit parent. Especially not when you’ve been there from the first, hovering. Hold your ground, Abby! Fight for your family!
The Young and the Restless: Middle Ground
How about a compromise, 29% of fans suggest. Making Devon Dominic’s godfather was a good start. Why not work out an informal arrangement before heading off to court. Devon is holy enough to be the boy’s godfather. How about he drop by every Sunday and take Dominic to church? It’ll give the new parents a break, confirm a set time for Devon to visit…and fulfill the religious part of that godfather thing. It’s a win-win!

Y&R: The Other Father
Then again, 15% of the audience point out that Chance is actually on board with Devon getting a legal role in Dominic’s life. You know how Oprah says when people tell you who they are, believe them? When your husband says he’s not up to full-time parenting right now, Abby, believe him. And share your son with the guy even his legal father says would be good for him.
