Mama Mariah: Is It Time For Motherhood On The Young and the Restless?

Sure, we’ve seen Hilary wanting to have a baby on The Young and the Restless, but what if she didn’t become pregnant and someone else did? That’s been known to happen on soaps!

Soap Hub asked Y&R viewers if they’d like to see Mariah (Camryn Grimes) become a mother or if they think she should get her act together first. Read on for the results!

Mother’s Daze
The majority of you, just over 60%, would love to see Mariah become a mother. You think that “it’d be a good direction for her character.” Recently, Mariah’s been questioning herself and what she wants in life.

She found herself attracted to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and hasn’t been sure how to process those feelings. Perhaps having a baby would make Mariah happy. Then again, what if she’s already pregnant by Devon? That sure would tick off Hilary(Mishael Morgan)!

Pregnant Pause
The rest of you, nearly 40%, believe that no, Mariah’s not ready yet to become a mom.

Why bring another person into the world when Mariah herself doesn’t know what she wants? Plus, like Hilary, Mariah isn’t involved with a guy right now so she’d need to find a dad. Perhaps Mariah should get settled first, then work on having a family.

The Doctor Is In
It might be time for Y&R to invest in casting a character who’s a psychiatrist and putting that player on contract. Maybe Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo of The Bold and the Beautiful) could visit pal Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) in Genoa City and decide to stay.

Her first patient could be Mariah and they could flesh out her past in order to figure out her future. That way, Mariah could become ready to become a mom. The good thing is when Mariah has a baby, she’ll have the prettiest grandmother in Genoa City in Sharon (Sharon Case)!
