It’s either feast or famine for Billy on The Young and the Restless. Either no women love him or all do. He’s like a child’s toy, which goes unplayed until somebody else wants it. But what does Billy (Jason Thompson) want? Or, rather, what should Billy want? Over 4,000 viewers gave us their thoughts:
The Young and the Restless Polling: The New Girl
A majority 56% of you are liking Billy’s new squeeze, Lily (Christel Khalil) – even if the lack of couple name does make you a bit sad. (We’re still pushing for WinBot.) She seems like a grown-up who can both handle his past relationship with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), his kids, and Billy’s periodic stupid decisions. She can appreciate his whimsical side as well as reel him in when he goes too far. This one is a keeper!
One True Pairing
A smaller 42% of the audience knows that Billy will always go back to Victoria. They can’t live with each other, they can’t live without each other. But they don’t seem to be able to get that through their thick skulls, so why even pretend to try it with anyone else.

They have children together. But, more importantly, they are co-dependent and dysfunctional. That’s what passed for true love on soaps. Just look at Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden). If you can’t beat them, join them.
What Might Have Been
A last-place 2% are still pining for the romance that never was with Amanda (Mishael Morgan). She and Billy had real chemistry and, most importantly, no baggage. Even Billy and Lily knew each other as kids, and so have past history. Billy and Amanda have nothing but newness ahead of them. (Well, save that little snafu over his legal defense.)
You’ve seen Billy and Victoria. You have a good sense of Billy and Lily. Billy and Amanda are the only pairing getting you excited. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
