To paraphrase Regis Philbin: “Victoria Newman is OUT OF CONTROL!” The Newman heiress has been bossing everyone around on The Young and the Restless lately and she’s not making any friends in the process!
Whether it’s giving her ex, J.T. (Thad Luckinbill), a cushy job, ruining Lily’s (Christel Khalil) plan to spend time with her family, or her daily squabbles with Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is arguably doing her job correctly!
If there’s one thing her dad, Victor (Eric Braeden), cares about more than family it’s business!
We’ve seen Victor be ruthless with his son, Nicholas, trying to ruin him financially to teach him a lesson. While he may have a softer spot on his heart for Victoria, Victor could decide to teach his daughter a lesson and fire her from her job!
Knowing Victor, simply firing Victoria won’t be good enough. He may go so far as to also disown her. When the mustached mogul teaches his kids a lesson, he likes to go all the way!
Ashley told Victor that she’ll come back to work if Victor fires Victoria. So she’s thinking it’s at least a possibility!
Of course, if this does happen we suspect that Victoria will land on her feet somewhere. Perhaps she’ll go over to work at Jabot with Victor’s nemesis Jack (Peter Bergman). But if Victoria does leave Newman would she bring others with her? Like J.T.?
If she doesn’t go to Jabot, maybe Victoria will go out on her own again and start a new venture apart from either Newman or Jabot. The heiress finding herself without her Newman trust fund like her brother Nick could make funding a startup difficult. However, she’s a savvy businesswoman who might just be able to pull something like that off if she moves out from under daddy’s thumb.
If Victor gives into Ashley’s demands and fires Victoria, he could set off a whole chain of events in which Genoa City will never be the same!
Will it happen? Stay tuned!
