It’s almost the holidays on The Young and the Restless, and Michael Baldwin and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin probably have some family time coming up. We have just the person we’d love to see return to celebrate — Scott Grainger.

Young and the Restless Needs Scott Grainger

While Fenmore Baldwin (Zack Tinker) occasionally pops home at the holidays, it’s been quite a while since Scott (Daniel Hall) has shown up. The last time he came to town, Lauren (Tracey Bregman) got Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to help rescue him after he was kidnapped in the Middle East while on assignment.

Scott’s time in Genoa City in 2017 caused more than a few wrinkles. First of all, he and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) had a pretty close relationship and lived together. They fell in love, but he had an affair with Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), so Sharon threw him out.

Trouble in Paradise

If Scott returned, he and Sharon might feel that spark again, which could shake things up with her and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). However, they’ve already had some struggles due to Sharon’s continued support of her ex, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), and another man from Sharon’s Young and the Restless past could be the final nail in the coffin for their marriage.

Then, there’s Abby and Scott’s history. She just found Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), but Y&R spoilers hint that his return isn’t everything Abby had hoped it would be. However, if Scott returned, perhaps she’d turn to him to talk about her problems, and their relationship might take off again too. Scott’s a reporter — with the media wars, whichever media company could lure him on staff would pull off a major coup.

For all these reasons, we’d love to see Scott return. Plus, we’d love to see more of Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Michael (Christian Le Blanc). Perhaps Fenmore could also return from his stint in rehab and restart his music career. There is never a dull moment with this family — but it’d be nice to see a lot more of them. With a Scott return, perhaps that could finally happen.
