Payback’s a… Well, you know. And Phyllis might finally get hers if Summer ends up having an affair with Billy on The Young and the Restless.
Since returning home to Genoa City, Summer (Hunter King) has immersed herself in Billy’s (Jason Thompson) world; the same Billy her mom Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) has been living with for almost two years.
But that relationship could be totally upended if Summer ends up slinking her way into Billy’s bed, and the duo start having an affair. If it happens, it will be total karma.
Betraying Jack
Remember when Phyllis, who was then married to Billy’s brother Jack (Peter Bergman), began sleeping with Billy? Jack adored Phyllis and loved his little bro.
The reality of the two of them together and hooking up behind his back absolutely destroyed Jack. He felt betrayed, outraged, and deeply hurt.
That’s probably exactly how Phyllis would feel if her daughter and her lover started having a fling behind her back. She’d come to understand all the agony Jack endured when she treated him so shabbily.
Messing with Nick… and Sharon
Then, there’s Nick (Joshua Morrow), who Phyllis has had two affairs with — with a marriage sandwiched between them.

Affair #1 destroyed Nick and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) marriage and left poor Sharon a crumbled mess. She’d just mourned the loss of her daughter, Cassie, and then, thanks to Phyllis, lost her husband at a time when she needed him most.
Phyllis’s recent tryst with Nick, who’s now re-engaged to Sharon, came after a spat with Billy. Once again Phyllis is messing with Sharon’s happiness, and she’s betrayed Billy.
When/if Phyllis and Nick’s romp comes out, Phyllis will be exposed for what she truly is: a serial cheater. And she’ll deserve it.
Family Destroyed
The Abbott clan was torn apart when Phyllis and Billy’s fling first went public. It drew a wedge between Billy and Jack that seemed insurmountable. Sisters Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Traci (Beth Maitland) tried in vain to broker peace between their brothers, who spent months at each other’s throats.
Should a Summer/Billy fling happen and Phyllis find out about it, it would certainly destroy their mother/daughter bond, leaving Phyllis estranged from her child. She’d finally know the pain the Abbotts felt having their once close-knit family torn to shreds.
