Friendships can break up for a lot of reasons on a soap-opera. There’s the usual fighting over a man, learning that you’re mother and daughter, getting kidnapped, getting amnesia (or both).
But The Young and the Restless (YR) seems to be suffering from an excess of You Killed the Love of My Life, lately.
First, Jill (Jess Walton) who, granted, always knew that Kay (Jeanne Cooper) killed Phillip, learned that Kay kept the ring Philip had bought to marry Jill with a secret from her.
That prompted Jill to retroactively break off their self-destructive, nearly half-century of being frenemies – even though Kay was already dead.
And now Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) knows that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was responsible for Adam’s (Justin Hartley) death. That could certainly cast a pall over Girls’ Night Out. What should Chelsea do? Here’s what almost 4000 fans think:
Avenge Me, Chelsea!
Now is no time for cooler heads to prevail, 62% of you have decided. Now is the time for Chelsea to seek her revenge.
She needs to take away something or someone that Chloe loves as much as Chelsea loved Adam. How about Kevin (Greg Rikaart)? No. That’s not enough. She just doesn’t seem all that into him. How about Bella?
Considering Chloe already lost Delia, that seems beyond cruel, though. How about Esther (Kate Linder), then? Would anyone other than Chloe really miss Esther?
Silence Is Golden
Uhm, whisper 37% of fans, Adam did kill Chloe’s child – whether he meant to, or not. It’s not as if her actions were unprovoked. If Chelsea takes her revenge on the grieving mother, it will just perpetuate the cycle.
How about she just never speaks to her former best friend, again, and we’ll call it even? After all, if Chloe was willing to go after Adam on Delia’s behalf, isn’t Connor (who benefited from Delia’s corneas) the next logical target?
