Spoilers for The Young and the Restless for the week of September 16-20 focus on characters spiraling, strategizing, and giving their unwanted two cents.
Scheme Queen
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) finally decides to take action regarding her unemployment. After all, she has been out of commission for a minute. Of course, her impromptu interview with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson — who talks about a potential Silly twist) over drinks impresses him. One of the reasons why? She says she isn’t afraid of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). And she means it.
She also states the obvious when she tells Billy she isn’t afraid of playing dirty. Unsurprisingly, the two start strategizing. Here’s what we want to know: If and/or when Jill (Jess Walton) comes back to town, how will she react to all the changes at ABBOTT-Chancellor? Will Jill accept a new C-Suite that includes Phyllis? Hopefully, Jill’s health will take a turn for the better soon and she’ll hightail it back to Genoa City so we can find out.

Rollercoaster of Emotions and Suspicious Actions
Sharon (Sharon Case — get details on her upcoming special episode) is spiraling, and it’s clear she is in for a scary ride. Anytime she is in the vicinity of Daniel (Michael Graziadei), Heather (Vail Bloom), or Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant), she lashes out. When she’s alone, she talks to Spirit Cameron (Linden Ashby). The ups and downs are growing more extreme — is there a rock bottom in sight?
Next week, Sharon clears the air with Daniel, but does she do this under false pretenses? Because the teasers also suggest Sharon has to cover her tracks. What is she covering up? Does Daniel disappear, or does she unleash her rage on another target? Finally, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) catches Sharon in a lie. Does Mariah catch on enough to do something?

Odds and Ends
The Newmans are booked and busy with secrets and anger invading their own family. Apparently, they’re not as perfect as they think they are. First, Victor keeps a secret from Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Hmmm….could this be the fact that his deal with Lily (Christel Khalil) means she’ll be CEO of Chancellor should they wrestle it away from Billy? Also, Victor loses patience with Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) need to help Billy. Will she have to choose between showing loyalty between her dad and her ex-husband/father of her kids?
Look for the Winters family to drum up their own share of drama. Once again, Devon (Bryton James) and Nate (Sean Dominic) take it upon themselves to give Lily unsolicited advice. Do they tell her to remove herself from the middle of this Victor vs. Billy war? Also, Lily finds out Phyllis signs on to Abbott-Chancellor as its COO, which means Phyllis replaces Chance (Conner Floyd) in the role. How will she react? It might make her more determined to get Billy ousted.
Finally, Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) are left to their own devices now, and Billy and Sally (Courtney Hope — who recently got Bold and Beautiful) want nothing to do with them. Next week, Adam and Chelsea fear their mistakes will hurt Connor (Judah Mackey). Don’t they always feel this way? On Connor’s part, he notices something interesting. He tells his dad while Adam and Sally were great together, he had something more with Chelsea. Are we in for a Chadam reunion?
