On The Young and the Restless, spoilers for the week of August 12 – 16 focus on targeting Billy and trashing Audra. Meanwhile, Victor hands out new orders, and Phyllis offers unsolicited advice.
Billy (Jason Thompson) often acts like a bulldozer. Once his mom turned over her shares of the company to him, he ran with it. He immediately slapped the Abbott stamp on it because it’s the name he feels represents his mom. And even though she disagreed with the Chancellor-Winters UnMerger, he thinks it’s what she wants. Next week, conflict comes for Billy, especially with his brother Jack (Peter Bergman).
Billy thought it was a brilliant idea to put the Abbott name in front of Chancellor, even though it was Katherine’s (the late Jeanne Cooper) company long before he or Jill (Jess Walton) had anything to do with it. And he never consulted his family for approval or even to gauge how they felt. Unsurprisingly, Jack takes issue with Billy using the family name, plus his trust issues with Billy resurface. But that’s not all Billy’s going to have to worry about. Victor (Eric Braeden), who hates Billy Boy, changes Adam’s orders. He tasks his son with going after Billy instead of Jack. How will Adam (Mark Grossman) respond? More importantly, how will Billy withstand all this turbulence in his life?
Audra (Zuleyka Silver) might want to tell Genoa City to keep her name out of their mouths. After all, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Summer (Allison Lanier) use her name in their battle for custody of Harrison (Redding Munsell). Sure, a while back, she had an affair with Kyle (Michael Mealor). Lately, she’s done nothing but focus on getting Glissade off the ground. Yet, Summer demands that Kyle cut ties with his business partner. Kyle isn’t about to do that, is he?
Does Genoa City realize how much of a puppet master Victor is? If they don’t, they should. He now has his hands in the Summer/Kyle Custody Battle of 2024. He listened to Summer unload about Kyle and Audra working together and how it’s bad for Harrison. And he just sat there and gave nothing away. It can’t be a coincidence that Victor suddenly challenges Kyle and Audra. Will he turn their co-CEO status into a competition for the top spot at Glissade?
The women of Genoa City stir the pot and create drama next week. But first, let’s kick things off with happy news. Traci (Beth Maitland) returns home with Alan (Christopher Cousins) in tow. Yay! We get to see this adorable couple after they traveled from Paris to Los Angeles and are now making a stop to see her family before returning to Paris.
Also, look for Phyllis to give Lily (Christel Khalil) unsolicited advice. Isn’t all the advice Phyllis gives unsolicited? What we want to see is how Lily responds to these so-called words of wisdom. Elsewhere, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) goes on a guilt trip…again. Can we agree that ever since she cheated on Billy with Adam, she’s always riding the guilt trip express?
Finally, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) makes a shocking decision. Does she decide to abandon Victor’s quest to place her at the top of the Chancellor? After he takes the company over, that is. Billy and Lily have made adjustments so Victor won’t continue his need to steal the company from Billy. If this isn’t a business decision, what shocking thing does Nikki decide to do?
