Katherine Chancellor’s memory has been kept alive on The Young and the Restless with the naming of a city oasis in her honor. But now entities are fighting over Chancellor Park and it’s already staring to tear people apart!
If Katherine (played by the late great Jeanne Cooper) were still alive how would she handle the battle for the park named in her honor? Soap Hub asked you to weigh in on this. Read on for the results!
Take Charge Katherine
The votes split fairly evenly in this poll. Almost 34% of you feel that Katherine would want everyone to stop fighting and do the right thing. If Kay knew that the Newman clan was at odds over this, she’d intervene — especially if it meant keeping Nikki out of jail.
We can just see Katherine dropping by Victor’s office and giving him a piece of her mind!
Classic Lines
One of Katherine’s standby lines in response to the drama that went on in Genoa City while she was alive was “Dear God in heaven!”
Viewers knew that when Kay said that line things had gotten out of control!
That’s the case now with Nikki facing jail time for her role in “appropriating” some of Victor’s funds. So we can be fairly certain (as can a little over 33% of you) that Katherine would utter her famous phrase given the way this current drama is unfolding!
Money Talks
Katherine was incredibly wealthy during her life. You only had to see her walk into a room to realize she had both money and power. The remaining voters, 33%, feel that Kay would look at the current situation, step in and throw money at the situation, and buy the park herself!
It’s stories that like this that make us miss both Katherine and Cooper very, very much. Let’s hope her loved ones and friends will keep her wishes in mind when making their decisions. Stay tuned!
