Almost everyone has warm feelings about where they were born and grew up and Y&R star Conner Floyd is no different. The handsome star recently took some time to reveal some of his favorite things about his hometown.
Y&R Star Conner Floyd Reveals His Favorites
Although he portrays Chance Chancellor on The Young and the Restless, Floyd hasn’t forgotten where he came from. The new soap opera star recently gave an interview to a news show called We Are Austin.
Floyd shared the interview on his Instagram, which you can watch below. In his caption, he gave a big shoutout to his old area code — the 512. “Ain’t much has changed,” he continued. “@whataburger slaps, Lake Travis football rules, and Austin’s still weird, man.”
In the video interview, the actor revealed that “the number one thing I miss in Austin is food.” So when he manages to get back to the Austin area when he flies back from Los Angeles, he hits up his favorite place to eat — Whataburger. But, of course, he doesn’t just have one meal when he’s in his old hometown. He also loves Matt’s El Rancho for margaritas, Rudy’s Country Store BBQ, and The Oasis.

Unbeatable Hometown View
The actor revealed that the view of Lake Travis from The Oasis rivals any views he has seen in L.A. Conner Floyd even admitted that he still has a snap of that as the screensaver on his phone. Although he lives on the West Coast, where he brings Chance to life in Genoa City regularly, it’s clear that he still has plenty of ties to Austin, Texas.
Although Chance struggles to adapt to life back home, it doesn’t sound like Conner Floyd has the same struggle, especially since Austin is just a plane ride away. The interviewer ended the interview with a compliment, telling the actor that he gives off some Matthew McConaughey (a fellow Texan) vibes. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
