Victoria has reignited her bad girl side on The Young and the Restless. The war with Phyllis has the Newman heiress trying to bring down her former sister-in-law. But is Victoria taking things a bit too far?

Key Takeaways

  • Victoria is feuding with Phyllis over Newman Enterprises.
  • To get back at Phyllis, Victoria is driving a wedge between Phyllis and her kids.
  • Summer’s letter implies she’s done with Phyllis.

Phyllis Loses Her Kids

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has become The Newmans’ number one enemy after taking over Newman Enterprises. Victor (Eric Braeden) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) are leading the battle in trying to regain their company. But they’re facing a tough fight with Phyllis.

With Phyllis not budging, Victoria has decided to hit where it hurts. Victoria is trying to drive a wedge between Phyllis and her daughter, Summer (Allison Lanier). Although Nick (Joshua Morrow) asked Victoria not to involve Summer, she disregarded her brother’s advice.

After a recent trip to visit Summer in Milan, Victoria returned with a letter for Phyllis. In the letter, Summer admonished her mother for stealing Newman and claimed she doesn’t want to see her again.

Summer’s letter left Phyllis upset, and many fans suspicious. On Reddit, a theory has popped up that Victoria is responsible for the note. “Victoria wrote that letter, not Summer,” one fan posted.

Based on Victoria’s demeanor, most fans agree with the theory. “That was my thought also, especially when she said that she read it.”

Did Victoria Cross the Line?

Victoria already crossed the line by interfering in Summer and Phyllis’ relationship. But did she go too far in possibly writing the letter?

It seems odd that Summer chose to write her mom a letter instead of calling or texting her. However, Summer may have wanted to go no contact and figured a letter was the best way to correspond.

Then again, there’s always the possibility that Victoria is the author of the letter. Summer might have shown signs of not wanting to cut her mother out of her life, so Victoria took matters into her own hands. Forging a letter from Summer would be a sneaky way to hurt Phyllis and try to regain Newman.

Although Phyllis is putting on a strong front, it’s obvious Summer’s letter devastated her. Phyllis is adamant she won’t give up Newman, but losing Summer might have her changing her mind. While Victoria might score a victory for her family, that could change if they learn of her underhanded tactics.
