With gyms across the country closed and Americans in many states being ordered or asked to stay home to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus, many of us have had to improvise to find new workout routines and former The Young and the Restless star Victoria Rowell has a great suggestion.
If you’re used to your fitness center with all the equipment available and have nothing at home (but can’t shop for workout gear, as non-essential stores are ordered closed), just take something in your home and make do.
For Rowell, it’s two cans of collard greens and some upbeat music. Use the cans to work your biceps and even combine the move with some squats, as she demonstrates in the tweeted video below. What a way to get both an upper and lower body workout at the same time without having to the gym as we try to social distance.
You can also use the cans to do shoulder presses and tricep pushbacks. She calls it “The Collard Green-Mustard Green Workout With Auntie Vicky.”
Rowell has been away from daytime soaps for a long time but did make an appearance back on YR last year as herself after former co-star Kristoff St. John died. She paid tribute to him in the soap’s memorial episode.
However, the actress does keep herself soapy with the Amazon streaming soap The Rich and The Ruthless. That doesn’t mean many fans would not like to see her in Genoa City once again as Drucilla. See her workout routine in the tweeted video below. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
