Veteran Soap Stars Unite To Star and Produce A New Feature Film

Soap stars Jacob Young and Jason Cook have teamed up with current The Young and the Restless star Brytni Sarpy for a project fans are sure to get excited about.

New Film ‘Four for Fun’ Features Your Favorite Soap Stars

The two male former daytimers, who last month had a meaningful talk on the podcast, Real Conversations with Jacob Young, are working on a movie together, with Young (ex-Lucky Spencer, General Hospital; ex-Rick Forrester The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-JR Chandler, All My Children) producing and Cook (ex-Shawn Brady, Days of our Lives; ex-Matt Hunter, GH) serving as writer and director.

Young gave an update on the film, called Four for Fun, on his Instagram account. “Producing a movie is no easy task,” he posted, calling out his stars for delivering excellent performances. “Films like this are only possible when everyone’s artistic passions are intact and on point.”

He also posted a photo of some of its stars, which includes Annika Foster; Donovan Patton, who plays Joe on Blue’s Clues and You — in addition to Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson on Y&R since 2019; ex-Valerie Spencer, GH).

“I have to say [Brytni, Annika, and Donovan] absolutely slayed it (no pun intended),” Young wrote, hinting at the “bloody” look of the shoot. “So proud to act with such a talented cast. I’m also incredibly excited to call this the first full-length film I’ve produced on. We couldn’t have done it without the incredible writing, directing, and relentless vision of Jason Cook! Here’s to big things team! More to come!”

Earlier this month, Young posted a photo of himself and Cook together preparing for filming. “Just a couple former soap studs getting provisions @costco for a new film we’re producing,” he hinted at the time.

Sarpy posted the same bloody photo on her Instagram and talked a little about her involvement. “We had all the fun,” she wrote. “Love you all. Can’t wait to see this baby fly…”

Tamara Braun (Ava Vitali, DAYS) was quick to chime in on the photo, joking,  “Ouch!!! Put pressure on that wound!” We at Soap Hub can’t wait to see the final film!
