Last month, Soap Hub reported that former The Young and the Restless Max Page would be undergoing another heart surgery. Now, we can tell you how the young actor/advocate is doing!
Max played a young Reed Hellstrom and left the show in 2010 when J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) and Mac (Clementine Ford) moved away from Genoa City. But Max would reprise his role a few times in order to visit his mom Victoria (Amelia Heinle).
Page’s mother, Jennifer Alderson Page, has posted an update on social media saying the surgery is complete and Max has already asked to sit up despite being in pain. “Today’s goals are walking, using a breathing device to open up lungs, eating, and possibly remove chest tubes,” Jennifer wrote.
She added on a blog that her son’s surgeon “was able to place a large size (25) [valve] in Max that should last him several years. His current valve was a 16 so there is a big difference! Because of Max’s history with Endocarditis- a bacterial blood infection – he will remain in the hospital until at least Sunday for a course of IV antibiotics.”
Max has a younger brother named Els just before going into surgery he asked his amily to take care of Els.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
