We’ve said adieu to Juliet, Graham, and Daniel, so now The Young and the Restless is filling those voids with two new actors.
According to published reports, actress Sitara Hewitt will play Helen Wallace, a business executive on Tuesday, February 13. The role is reported to be short-term. Hewitt’s credits include appearances on Criminal Minds and Lost Girl.
Also joining the show is actor Damion Poitier as Byron, a potential love interest (and father to the child she wants to have?) of Hilary’s.
If the actor’s name sounds familiar to Y&R fans there’s a reason for that. There was a character on the show named Damon Porter (played by Keith Hamilton Cobb), but we digress… Poitier’s credits include True Blood, Hit the Floor, Charmed, Judging Amy and many other films and television shows.
There’s not telling how long either Helen or Byron will be on the show. It may be just for a few episodes, but soaps have a habit of bringing people on, seeing how they interact with characters, and sometimes their runs are extended to lengthy stays.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays at CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
