Ever since Sally Spectra landed in The Young and the Restless and details about her past on The Bold and the Beautiful came leaking out, practically every citizen in Genoa City has acted like have they have never met a more evil person…or been one.

What’s with the mass amnesia? Or, to put it another way without being remotely delicate, who is being the biggest hypocrite? What over 2,000 voters (in other words, longtime viewers who would certainly remember even if the characters don’t) told us:

It’s Phyllis Summers by a large margin, 70% of the audience agrees. She did so, so much worse when she was Sally Spectra’s age…and long afterward. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) lied about her kid’s paternity, she tried to kill Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell).
She cheated on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) with his brother, and she broke several laws most recently when trying to prove Sally (Courtney Hope) was an evil incarnate. And yet, she needs to protect her loved ones from Sally?
Remember When on The Young and the Restless
Chelsea Lawson doesn’t want to work with Sally because the latter is untrustworthy, 20% of you are scratching your heads. The Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) who used to be a con artist and most recently pulled the biggest con of all, claiming to be mentally ill to get out of being tried for attempting to kill Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) – and frame Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for it? But, yes, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), beware of Sally, she’s the worst!

How Dare You
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) should be first in line to cheer Sally on, 6% of the fans point out. She’s the original Genoa City social climber who used man after man, then dumped them the minute she found something better.
And if that meant getting some other woman out of her way at the time – hey, remember when she faked a terminal illness to keep Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) from Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson)? But, Sally getting Summer Newman (Hunter King) a dream job in Europe – that monster!

Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) used to be a redheaded hellion who tortured Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) through all of high school. And let’s not even talk about what her husband went to prison for. But she can’t give Sally a second chance, 4% smirk.
