The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Monday, November 27 features Genoa City residents getting back to business after the holiday as Jack steps down while Victor and Nick deal with legal issues.
Breaking Up and Making Up is Hard to Do?
Unless you’re Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). They kissed and made up, and brought the party from the Big Easy to work where Jack (Peter Bregman) informed Phyllis he’s making shocking, major changes — and she may want to check her email.
Before that, Jack texted Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) saying “Call me” because texting your breakup intentions is so 21st Century. Rather than calling, Nikki showed up at Jabot, and they went through the motions of an apology but ultimately broke up.
Of course, Billy is still keeping secrets from Phyllis, which is sure to blow up in his face eventually. He hasn’t shared Dina’s deep dark family secret of Alzheimer’s, which pleased Jack, but Phyllis won’t appreciate it. In fact, it could spell trouble in paradise already.
Why is it even a secret in the first place?
Legal Stuff
At the police department, Nick and Victor traded barbs over their legal issues.
Luckily for Nick, he didn’t start the fire even though he had a motive. He even had an alibi. Paul isn’t ruling out anything, which led to a mystery clue — the photo of Brent Davis.
Nick stopped by the Abbotts for answers, but Jack won’t give him access to his ailing mother. Later, he and Dina put the damning details together. Will Jack let Nick in on this news?
Christine (Lauralee Bell) grilled Victor over the sex ring stuff, and in typical style, Victor answered nothing and refused to be cooperative. Since Victor knows everything, it seems nearly impossible he didn’t know about Zack’s sex trafficking.
The Thing?
Um, what happened in New Orleans? Whatever it was, the strange foursome of Nick, Chelsea, Billy, and Phyllis vowed to never speak of it again… that’s a vow we’re willing to keep as well.
