While National Puppy Day was last month, and National Dog Day won’t be until Aug. 26, The Young and the Restless’ Tracey Bregman knows it’s never not a good time to pay tribute to a lovable pet. After all, social media is a much happier place when photos of dogs pepper people’s social media feeds, rather than political complaints.
Tracey Bregman Shares Her Love Of Animals
The actress, who has played Lauren on the longtime CBS soap since 1984, took to Instagram to share a collage of some of her favorite photos of her dog, as he celebrates a special day.
“Happy 9 th birthday Buddha!!” Bregman said. “You have made it five years past when they thought you would. You are my inspiration, my soulmutt! You have taught what perseverance is, no matter how you feel and some days are good days and some days are bad days, you get up and you smile and you wag your tail and you make it through the day. We all love you so much!!”
And it’s not just her dog that Bregman is talking about. The Daytime Emmy-winning actress also is finding happiness with her horse, telling her fans about the joy she gets from life on the farm.
“My Animals are my heart,” she posted this weekend, sharing a photo of her beautiful horse. “Owning a farm/ ranch is something I have dreamt about since I was a little girl. I was the kid who wanted to bring home all the strays and the one who would nurse the birds who were hurt. To be able to go to the city and work and then, come home to the farm is something I am grateful for every single day.”
While Lauren has never owned a pet, recent events suggest that maybe she should have. After all, with her recent realization that she was a bully as a teen and made life miserable for Traci Abbott, had she had a lovable dog of her own, perhaps Lauren would have been kinder to her poor friend. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
