On The Young and the Restless, Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) hit her teen years with a vengeance, getting drunk, lying about it, then stealing vodka in order to get drunk again. Now she’s been suspended from school after yet more vodka was found in her locker.
Faith got all teary-eyed and apologized to her folks, swearing she’d seen the error of her ways and promises to be a good girl from now on. Oh, and that vodka? Totally planted there, by bullies. Has Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) little girl truly seen the light? How almost 3000 viewers see it:
Playing the Field
What a little con artist, 58% of you aren’t fooled in the slightest. Did you catch the crocodile tears, all the, “Oh, I thought you were disappointed in me, that you didn’t love me just the way I am?” drama. This girl knows exactly which buttons to push with her parents to get them to lay off.
Throw in blaming all of her behavior on the trauma of Billy (Jason Thompson) writing about Adam (Mark Grossman) kidnapping Faith as a baby, and she can convince them she’s the angel, and any acting out on her part is all on them. Now, what will they do to make this up to poor her?
Half and Half
A smaller 30% see it as six of one, half dozen of the other. Faith had the fear of good put in her when her little vodka escapades were found out, and she is sorry for going too far. But that doesn’t mean she can’t use her parents’ guilt to mitigate whatever consequences come up.
I Know Now
Only 13% think Faith is sincere and really will cut out the self-destructive behavior. She was allowing Jordan to pressure her into acting older – and wilder – than she really is. And she’s had enough. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listing for air times.
