Almost two years ago, The Young and the Restless star Tracey Bregman suffered a devastating blow when she lost her beloved home in the Malibu fires. She barely had time to grab her Daytime Emmy and a few other prized possessions before escaping with her life. Since then, she’s slowly but surely taken steps to rebuild that part of her life.
Now, a significant development in getting her home back on her lot of land has taken place. The actress shared on her Instagram stories that she’s received the proper paperwork from the City of Malibu to begin rebuilding a home on her property.
While the majority of her possessions were lost, the YR writing team at the time made a thoughtful gesture to try and help the actress begin anew. The scribes obtained some original vinyl records of her late father, musician Buddy Bregman. “I am so touched by how people and our community have come together to love and support us all going thru this very difficult time,” Bregman wrote.
“I came home to a gift from my @youngandrestlesscbs @youngrestlessep writers and our [then] EP Mal Young,” Bregman continued. “They had found all the original vinyls of my Dad’s, Buddy Bregman. I thought I would never see them again. Your thoughtfulness and sensitivity brings tears to my eyes. Thank you so much. I love you all. ❤️”
In recent times, Bregman has split her time between Los Angeles, where YR tapes, and her residence in Nashville. Now that she’s able to rebuild her home on the west coast, here’s hoping we continue to see more of Lauren Fenmore.
The actress first joined the top-rated soap in 1983. She’s been a constant on the YR canvas ever since, taking a break from Genoa City and switching over to The Bold and the Beautiful in the 1990s. Her first stint on BB was in 1992 when Lauren came to L.A. for a Forrester fashion show.
When Lauren got there, she encountered her “dead” nemesis Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), who had started a new life there. The two women had a knockdown, drag-out fight, and Lauren make sure the police arrested Sheila and she was brought to justice. Or so viewers thought.
The initial encounter between the two women turned out to be a fantasy on Shelia’s part. They reunited for real back on YR. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
