The Young and the Restless Star Sharon Case Rings In 2021 With Gratitude

It was quite a year for Sharon Collins Newman who ended the year as Sharon Collins Rosales when Rey and Sharon tied the knot at Society on New Year’s Eve. It’s also been quite a year for the actors who bring our soaps to life, and Sharon Case is no exception.

While Sharon began the year with a health issue after discovering a lump in her breast she later learned was malignant, the whole world had to learn to start looking after its health and others’ health as the coronavirus pandemic grew, and especially grew in the United States. For soap fans, some of that meant losing original episodes for a few months, but eventually, soaps and The Young and the Restless returned to tell more of Sharon’s story.

In the end, Sharon was allowed to be happy and marry a man who is healthy for her rather than someone who is destined to hurt her. It looks like Case couldn’t be more grateful as her New Year’s Instagram post of Sharon ready to walk down the aisle came with thanks.

“Thank you to all the #YR viewers for your amazing love and support all year and for continuing to tune in to see us!! I love you!!” she wrote.

“Thank you to everyone who made this final show of 2020 look so beautiful & for what you do all year, set decor, camera, lighting, directors, h&mkup, @davidzyla wardrobe, the whole crew, our cast & especially @mgrossman18 & @jordivilasuso HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!”
