This week, fans of Victor and Nikki on The Young and the Restless are getting a real treat with a series of classic episodes specific to the supercouple’s decades-long relationship.
How does Scott feel about this special week? “I was thrilled to hear about YR having a Victor/Nikki week, of course,” the actress recently told TV Insider. “I am looking forward to it! I haven’t seen some of the featured shows since we shot them.”
Viewers have already seen Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) first visit to Victor’s (Eric Braeden) ranch — when she didn’t even know he owned the place! Today, viewers will see Nikki hope to reconcile with Victor now that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is out of the picture in an episode from 1987.
On Wednesday, Nikki and Victor share a memorable evening at the Colonnade Room that took place in 1990. On Thursday, viewers will be reminded of the couple’s undying love in the show’s 25th anniversary year, which was 1998.
At the end of the week, the drama returns to the Colonnade Room as Victor and Nikki re-marry in an episode from 2002. The couple’s happiness, alas, is marred when Victor’s ex makes a startling confession!
These classics feature beloved characters — some of whom are still on the show and others from the program’s rich past including Col. Douglas Austin (played by the late Michael Evans). “[My husband] Edward [Scott, Supervising Producer, Bold and the Beautiful] and I adored Michael Evans,” Scott says. “We were very close friends and we often socialized with him and his darling wife, Patsy. I know they are both smiling down on us.”
There’s no telling how long YR will be showing classic episodes, but there’s one that Scott would love to see — the one in which Nikki first meets Bobby Marsino (John Enos). “It’s a classic in my mind!” the actress enthuses. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
