We’ve known her first as Cricket and then Christine on The Young and the Restless, a role she has played since her teens, but occasionally the actress steps out and takes on totally different roles. That’s exactly what she’s doing in two upcoming Lifetime movies — the first titled Ruby and the second is called Pearl In The Mist.

Both TV flicks are based on V.C. Andrews novels of the same names and Bell took to Instagram to tell us all about it this week.

“Very excited to put out the dates for the #vcandrews Lifetime movies Ruby & Pearl In The Mist I did last year,” Bell wrote. Such an incredible ensemble of actors lead by @raechellebanno and @karinabanno and so fun to work with @gil.bellows.

“I play a very different part and have very different looks in these films but that was part of the fun. I’ll put out a lot of updates before they air but mark down the dates. Watch all of them of course but I’m in Ruby on March 20th & Pearl In The Mist on March 21st.”

Bell has spent her entire life in the world of soaps as her father, William J. Bell, created, produced, and wrote The Young and the Restless, and both of her parents created The Bold and the Beautiful. She was only in her teens when she took on the role of young Jabot model Cricket Blair, a character who eventually became Christine Williams, a high-powered attorney and eventually Genoa City’s top prosecutor.

Lifetime’s V.C. Andrews movie series will also include All That Glitters and Hidden Jewel. All four films focus on the Landry family and their trials and tribulations. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
