She’s one of The Young and the Restless‘ most enduring stars, and now, Kate Linder is adding an accolade to her mantel. The actress was recently feted for having a lengthy showbiz career!
The actress was honored with the President’s Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Entertainment Industry from the Southern California Motion Picture Council.
Linder, a native of Pasadena, Calif. first joined Y&R in 1982. Initially, she didn’t even have a character name. One day, the late Jeanne Cooper, as Katherine, yelled out in character “Esther!” when calling out to Linder’s character and the name stuck!
In addition to Y&R, Linder’s appeared in the films Mother’s Day, Voice from the Stone, and the Divorce Ceremony. She’s also done sketch on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and can be spotted nearly every season in the audience of Dancing With the Stars.
