The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden has made no secret as to how seriously he has been taking the coronavirus pandemic over the last year.
Eric Braeden: Vaccinated
He has been a proponent of masking and even began his own mask line. Some masks are emblazoned with “Wear the damn mask” reminding people to do just that. To bring a little more Victor into it, the masks include his image and, on one version, the words “You got that?” are printed. You can find the masks here.
A few weeks back, Braeden tweeted that he took a chance and stood on line at a Los Angeles vaccination site and managed to get the shot so many Americans covet. Citizens age 65 and over are eligible for the vaccine in California, putting Braeden in that category.
On Friday, it was time for Braeden’s second dose, which means in a few weeks the beloved actor will soon be fully vaccinated as it takes a few weeks for the vaccine to do its work.
Braeden posted about his experience with the second shot. Many people have been reporting feeling mild COVID symptoms after the second dose, including muscle aches and fevers, but nothing lasting more than a few days. Braeden reported he had a pretty easy experience:
“A little note to those who may be curious about the effects of the second vaccination: no effects for about 5 hours and then a little funky during some part of the night (a bit more tired) and no effects since! Yesterday not as full bore during workouts, but NO PROBLEMS OTHERWISE.”
On-screen, Victor is still going strong as the patriarch of the Newman family. He’s still going head to head with Adam (Mark Grossman) and trying to keep everyone together, even through Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) many problems. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
