The Young and the Restless Star Eric Braeden Wishes You A SAFE Thanksgiving

The year that is 2020 is a year like no other for so many different reasons and right now public health experts are urging Americans to stay home and have a small Thanksgiving celebration this year. The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden will be heeding that advice, although he knows it can be emotionally hard.

“I miss my family, but this THANKSGIVING I’m going to stay home! I understand all of you who travel to see loved ones! Please err on the side of caution! Have safe travels!” the actor tweeted on Monday.

Braeden frequently posts videos and photos of his beloved granddaughters, showing his enormous pride in them and love for them, but this year, he will have to miss spending time with them on Turkey Day to keep them — and himself safe.

Fan Christie Chambers responded to Eric Braeden’s tweet, thanking him for the sound advice, while informing people of the hospital situation across the country, with frontline workers exhausted, overworked, and many sick.

“Thank you for your sacrifice. My husband & I are frontline-emergency care workers nose-deep in covid patients so we had to tell our two adult kids not to travel home (one lives alone out of state). So hard, but necessary.”

On-screen, Victor is dealing with his own family issues as Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Nick (Joshua Morrow) want him to give up on Adam (Mark Grossman), with Victor refusing. In fact, Victor is finally getting Adam the psychological help he needed as a child, despite his other children not caring if their brother lives or dies.
