Many soap fans roll their eyes when characters recover overnight from life-threatening maladies. The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden agrees and thinks that his performance should reflect Victor’s recent medical crisis!
Braeden took to social media to address some well-intentioned fans who feel that it’s not just Victor who’s feeling unwell.
As regular viewers of the show know, Victor took a fall during a fight with J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) and wound up in the hospital. Unable to speak for a bit, Victor has had a realistic (some say slow by soap standards) recovery as he works to regain his full mobility.
The Emmy-winning actor has been doing such a good job at playing Victor’s progress some fans are wondering if the actor himself is fit as a fiddle!
Braeden wants his followers to know that he’s doing just great and he’s playing the consequences of his character’s ordeal.
Now that Victor is having even more health issues that seem to be destroying his company, watch for more realistic from Braeden.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
I have heard some comments about my “condition”! I’m an actor and when I’m in a storyline involving a fist fight and a tumble down the stairs and a subsequent COMA, I’m going to play the Consequences of that to the best of my ability! But I, ERIC BRAEDEN,am fullofpee&vinegar!!!
