The Young and the Restless icon Eric Braeden makes no secret about how he feels about a number of important topics and he can be frequently be found on social media being his refreshingly outspoken self.
In the strange and surreal year that is 2020, Braeden has made his feelings on both voting and masking very clear. Vote because it’s our right as Americans and wear a mask because it protects both you and your fellow man,
In fact, Braeden is so passionate about masking up to keep us all as safe as possible from COVID-19 that he’s been selling masks telling us all to wear a mask — and to vote. So, he put on his ‘VOTE’ mask and did just that.
While Election Day isn’t until November 3, Americans have been voting for weeks and as of October 16, nearly 24 million people have voted and now Braeden is one of them. He also couldn’t wait to show everyone how simply voting can be done.
“I DID IT!” Braeden tweeted above a video of this act. “Hopefully, in the right box,” he also quipped, seemingly referring to unofficial ballot boxes the California Republican Party has placed in parts of the state. The courts have asked the party to cease doing that.
As Braeden fans know, the actor immigrated to The United States from Germany in the 1950s and takes his status as an American seriously. He has also made no secret who he supports in this election as he saw the rise of totalitarianism in his native country as a boy and wants to set this country onto a corrected course.
See the actor do a very American thing in the tweeted video below. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
