The Young And The Restless star Daniel Goddard, a native Australian, has been a daytime fixture for over a decade. And, now, he’s hoping to make his stay in the United States a more permanent one!
On American’s birthday, Goddard Tweeted that he has officially taken steps to become an official U.S. citizen!
“Last week I applied for my US citizenship… so this July 4th means more to me than you could imagine,” Goddard wrote. “#ProudImmigrant #GodBlessAmerica #LandOfTheFree #HomeOfTheBrave”
The actor was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. After appearing on the Aussie serial Home And Away, he landed the title role in the syndicated reboot of Beastmaster, which ran from 1999-2002.
Goddard landed the role of Ethan “Cane” Ashby on YR in 2007. At first, he was revealed as the “real” Phillip Chancellor III. Later, that was proved to be false. The YR fan favorite has been to wife Rachael since 2002. They have two sons, Ford and Sebastian.
Soap Hub congratulates Goddard on his announcement and wishes him all the best as he embarks on getting his U.S. citizenship! The Young And The Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
