The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) reveal the real reason JT stayed in town and it has nothing to do with Victoria!
Cover Up Exposed
It seems JT (Thad Luckinbill) got himself in quite a lot of hot water when he tried to bury the truth about Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). He thought he had a foolproof plan to hide Nikki’s embezzlement but nothing could be further from the truth.
Caught Red Handed
Not only did Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) catch on but they had all they needed to pry a confession from JT. The whole ordeal flipped his world upside down and left him vulnerable for some serious prosecution.
Making A Deal
The night JT was supposed to skip town, he was forced to make a deal with the cops to stick around. Paul agreed to look the other way on JT’s charges if he’d work to take Victor (Eric Braeden) down.
There was only one thing JT asked for in return. No matter how many or how bad Victor’s skeletons are, the fallout doesn’t include Victoria or Nikki.
Victor is a monster but his wife and daughter shouldn’t share the blame.
It was the deal of the year but meant JT had to get in with the Newmans and gain Victor’s trust.
Working the Family
Of course, it wasn’t hard for JT to get back in the Newman’s good graces. After saving Nikki and hooking up with Victoria, it was easy to worm his way back in. Since he was halfway there he just had to push it all a little further.
While he did his best to protect Victoria in his shady deal there’s no question he’s using her to get ahead. He better hope she never finds out or he could lose her and their son for good!
