The most important thing Nikki Newman has done recently on The Young and the Restless is to convince Victor to take her on a vacation to London over New Year’s. The rest of the time, she’s played buffer between Victor (Eric Braeden) and his children, and his children among themselves.

She also periodically goes into the office with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to do… something. But isn’t it time this matriarch gets a story worthy of her years in Genoa City?
Love Connection
We know Victor is the love of her life, rinse, repeat, etc… but he’s getting that look in his eye again. The one that says bringing down Billy (Jason Thompson) is more important than anything, including anything resembling ethics.
Remember how he was willing to fake Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) death and keep her prisoner, all in the interest of protecting Adam (Mark Grossman)? If he’s headed that way again, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) might want to start looking around for more extracurricular activities.

You know how territorial she gets. Even around men who are no longer hers. And if it looks like Jack (Peter Bergman) and Sally (Courtney Hope) are about to turn into a thing, Nikki may want to put her two cents in… and her claim.
Big Boss
We’re not sure what Nikki does at Newman Enterprises, but let’s pretend it’s something where she can take a side in the brewing battle between Victor and Victoria. Nikki has never really had to choose between her controlling husband and her entitled children. What about really putting her feet to the fire and seeing where that leads.
On My Own
Or Nikki could forget all her hangers-on and finally stand on her own two feet, be her own woman. No man to live through, no children to steer. Nikki needs to figure out what she really wants!
