Adam’s prison cell may become his permanent home! New The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal the police are calling off their investigation and leaving an innocent man to rot behind bars.
Paul (Doug Davidson) isn’t willing to put any more money or resources towards a case the courts refuse to fight. Adam’s (Justin Hartley) plea deal proves his guilt and the law considers him a prisoner, not a victim.
The police chief suspects Adam’s innocent, but he has no way to prove it. The diary pages seem to be more of an urban legend than a reality, they can’t get a confession from Victor (Eric Braeden), and the accomplice is still in hiding. There’s nothing left to do and Paul can’t keep trying.
A Heroic Effort!
Paul may not believe in Adam anymore, but Dylan (Steve Burton) does! He insists on keeping the case open and getting to the truth. Adam’s list of crimes is long and daunting, but murdering Constance doesn’t belong on his rap sheet.
Dylan’s determination to clear Adam’s name and get him back to his family hits a roadblock when Paul pulls rank. They can’t continue to chase dead ends or play these games. Adam will have to stay where he is and deal with his fate. It’s no longer police business–and he demands Dylan stays out of it!
With the investigation on a permanent hold, Adam’s freedom looks more and more like a pipe dream with every passing day. His only crime–this time–is being the child of a vindictive father and not bending to Victor’s will sooner.
