The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, April 9, 2020, tease Adam better not get too comfortable on the Newman throne. His father and sister are working against him and it seems Victoria has big plans to make friends with his one ally.

Using a friend is never a good idea and Adam (Mark Grossman) is about to find out exactly what happens when you cross a bestie. Alyssa (Maria DiDomenico) is very upset about the work she put into that unpublished article and demands to know why it’s not up, live, and turning heads.
Alyssa Is Furious
Alyssa shows up to the penthouse in a fit of rage. Why won’t Adam expose his father as a killer? He murdered her dad and should be in jail. The least they can do is make sure they get justice in the court of public opinion.
Both Adam and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) talk her down and claim their people are merely fact-checking before sending the work out to a much bigger publication. No worries, word will get out eventually.

Will Alyssa buy their tall tale? Maybe, but chances are she will not believe it for very long. Spoilers show Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is tracking the journalist down for a heart to heart about trusting the wrong people.
How will Alyssa react to her old friend’s sister trying to throw him under the bus? Will she see the light and help to take Adam down? Or, will she up the ante and stand by Adam through thick and thin? They grew up side by side and it’s hard to cut those kinds of deep ties.

Rumor has it this face to face will be critical in the Newman war. Whatever happens between the ladies will change the course of Adam’s life. He will either lose his one and only ally or cement his place in Alyssa’s life.
