Shocking The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal an accidental death for Adam Newman–or so people think.
Accidents Happen
After a full investigation, the detectives rule the fire was caused by a propane leak. Sadly, Adam’s death was nothing more than a fluke, and no one is to blame. Everyone should just feel lucky Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor weren’t also inside the cabin at the time.
As the Newman family deals with this tragedy, no one can make sense of this horrible twist of fate. Adam (Justin Hartley) and Chelsea were so close to freedom only to have their entire future stripped away.
Is Adam Really Dead?
Although the police are sure their recovery mission came across enough of Adam’s remains to confidently say he’s dead, they can’t say for sure it’s all of his body parts. They’re really just going on as much DNA as they can find to make the shocking declaration. While his friends, family, and wife are all mourning his loss, they still question his death.
Only Chloe Knows the Truth!
Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) main wish was to get Adam out of town for good–dead or alive. She couldn’t stand looking at him knowing he’s the reason her first born daughter died. The pain was just too much, but would she go far enough to kill him? She wanted him punished. Faking this all and forcing him to live without Chelsea and Connor would be a fate worse than death.
