The Young and the Restless recaps for June 14-18, 2021, feature Tara showing her true colors, Abby worrying about her MIA hubby, and so much more.
The Young and the Restless Recaps Highlight
After summoning Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) to a clandestine meeting place – really just the same stretch of park that everyone traverses – Sally (Courtney Hope) revealed the plan that she’d put in place to rid them of Summer (Hunter King); and she also explained that she needed Tara’s help in nudging Summer into accepting the overseas job.
With that in mind, Tara retired to the Abbott mansion, where she confronted Summer and issued her an ultimatum: take the offer from Angela, or she’ll take Harrison away from Kyle (Michael Mealor)!
That’s What Friends Are For
Abby (Melissa Ordway) feared that Chance had been embroiled in a sting operation in Vegas that had gone badly, and subsequent, short exchange with her husband over a staticky telephone line made matters worse.
In response, Devon (Bryton James) supplied Abby with a special package that Chance had airmailed home. It’s his favorite sweatshirt – the one he’d lent Abby on their second date.
The Big Slip
Ashland (Richard Burgi) and Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) Big Apple staycation was marred by the former’s diagnosis of terminal cancer. Victoria provided a sympathetic ear, but she drew the line at acquiescing to Ashland’s request for a kiss. Back in Genoa City, Ashland winds up spilling the beans to Kyle and Tara.
Upon Reflection
After failing to immediately provide aid to Nate (Sean Dominic), who suffered a severe allergic reaction to crab cakes, Moses (Jacob Aaron Gaines) wonders if he’s cut out to be a doctor. Devon rightfully pointed out that, unlike Elena (Brytni Sarpy) – who rose to the occasion and saved Nate’s life – Moses has yet to be trained how to reasonably respond in such circumstances.
Cause For Alarm
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) learned that Victoria did indeed accompany Ashland to New York, and in response, she took it upon herself to confront Ashland. At the set-to’s conclusion, Nikki invited Ashland to dine with her, Victor (Eric Braeden), and Victoria; further interrogation ensued.
Ashland and Nikki bond over their shared love of music in general, and Leslie Brooks’s interpretation of it specifically. Later, while Victor mused to Nikki that there was more to Victoria and Ashland’s trip that meets the eye, Victoria invited Ashland up to her suite…
Head Case
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) paid Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) yet another visit and ran afoul of a very nervous Dr. Hedges. The shrink warned Chelsea not to trust the lawman, and he threatened that she was now at his mercy.
This Time, It’s Personal
Victor requested an audience with Amanda (Mishael Morgan), during which he ascertained that she is Sutton’s (Jack Landron) granddaughter and that she was the baby that Richard had been searching for. They bond over their similar upbringings.
Amanda arrived at The Grand Phoenix to find Naya (Ptosha Storey) waiting for her. When Amanda learned that Sutton still refuses to accept her strategy, she quit. Amanda then phoned Denise (Telma Hopkins), admitted to being Richard’s daughter, and begged for her help in finding out the truth.
Playing House
Lily (Christel Khalil) and Billy (Jason Thompson) hosted Johnny and Katie and were subjected to a barrage of inquiring questions. They were eventually forced to explain that they were two people in love – but that they most definitely were not husband and wife. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
