The Young and the Restless recap for December 14-18, 2020, features Billy’s innocence being well and truly proven, Victoria being infected by the green-eyed monster, and so much more.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

If you ever needed a fall guy, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is your man. His hatred and obsession, particularly for a certain someone named Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), had led him to commit violence in the past. So, why wouldn’t everyone and their brother just assume that he’s the one who tried to pump Victor’s (Eric Braeden) favorite child full of lead?

But Lily (Christel Khalil) had her doubts. And she followed said doubts all the way to the room of the highly-suspicious Alyssa Montalvo. The same Alyssa Montalvo whom a little research revealed was an expert shooter. The same Alyssa Montalvo who had ample reason to want Adam dead all her own. The same Alyssa Montalvo who would up being the attempted murderer!

Color the good folks at the GCPD and district attorney’s office shocked. But at least they promptly freed the obviously innocent Billy. Way to admit defeat guys.

YR Musings

So, judging by the stank face that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) hurled Billy and Lily’s way, the girl is clearly jelly over her ex moving on with his life.

Who do you think owes Billy the bigger apology? Abby (Melissa Ordway), the niece who refused to believe his innocence? Victor, who did everything in his power to railroad his former son-in-law into a prison term? Or Alyssa, whose defense for framing her one-time partner-in-crime seems to be that she figured his wealth and privilege would get off the hook?

Were you disappointed or pleasantly surprised over Theo’s (Tyler Johnson) decision to accept the Abbott family offer of taking the reigns of Dina’s (Marla Adams) Paris situated ventures? Would you have rather seen the battle be taken to court?

When it comes to the Sally Spectra/Summer Newman battle royale for the privilege of shepherding JVC, who do you think will emerge the winner? And do you agree that it has been nepotism vs. innate talent that has contributed to Summer’s “meteoric rise” in the business world?

Now that it seems Nate (Sean Dominic) will have to kiss his career as a surgeon goodbye, forever, do you finally feel sorry for him? Or is the grudge he incurred for helping himself to his cousin’s girlfriend still in place?

Also, has the passage of time softened your stance on a Nate/Elena (Brytni Sarpy) pairing? The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
