The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, November 25 celebrates Peter Bergman’s 30 years in the role of John “Jack” Abbott Jr. with a trip down memory lane, all triggered by the book he and Traci (Beth Maitland) wrote together about their family’s history.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Jack remembered trying to live up to his father’s legacy, and John’s marriage to Jill (Jess Walton). He recalled Dina (Marla Adams) moving in and out of his life, and her telling him she loves him as she lost her memory.
Victor-y Day
Of course, no Genoa City flashback is complete without the presence of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Jack looked back over his rivalry with The Mustache, then conceded that their relationship has mellowed in the past few years. Here They Come, Those Beautiful Girls
Jack thinks about the women in his life. There was Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), whom he married (she was on one of her many breaks from Victor). Their premature son died, but his heart was transplanted into the heart of a sick child who went onto recover.
There was also Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), who both cheated on him — with Nick (Joshua Morrow), with Billy (Jason Thompson) — but who was also there for Jack’s pill addiction.
No mention is made of Luan, mother of Jack’s first, and currently forgotten son, Keemo, or Diane, mother of Jack’s current favorite son, Kyle (Michael Mealor). Also no Patty, the wife Jack cheated on so many times it literally drove her over the bed.
We Are Family
Jack finished reading the book with Traci (Beth Maitland), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Kyle, and Abby (Melissa Ordway), and Billy. Here’s to 30 more years of Abbotts! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
