The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, July 23rd finds Nick and Phyllis waking up in the wrong bed (with the wrong person) and rushing out to make things right, even as Kyle sees more than he should. Plus, Devon fills Hilary in about the loss of their baby, and urges Mariah to go on Hilary’s place.
Secret Lovers, Secret Lives
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) wake up from a night of – admittedly great – sex, and agree that while they totally get each other, they’re both in love with other people, and this night will stay just between the two of them.
Nick is in the shower when Kyle (Michael Mealor) stops by and sees the excess pair of men’s pants. Phyllis begs him not to blab, and Kyle says she can count on him… as much as he can count on her.
Later, Kyle eavesdrops as Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis come close to reconciling… until she asks him to join Gamblers Anonymous, and Billy’s return home is postponed.
Nick and Sharon (Sharon Case) also get a chance to talk. She tells him how much she appreciates him fighting for their family, and lets him put her engagement ring back on her finger.
Bloodline
Devon (Bryton James) is forced to tell Hilary (Mishael Morgan) that they lost their baby, and the pair grieves together. Nate (Brooks Darnell) takes Devon aside and tells him that Hilary is still bleeding – she might not make it.
All Is Forgotten
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is snippy to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) about bailing on their date the other night. Devon calls and tells Mariah that Hilary wants her to do the show without her.
A sobbing Mariah sings Hilary’s praises on the air as, in true Genoa City fashion, a medical condition automatically erases all prior sins. See Newman, Victor.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtime.
