The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, February 7 closes out the first week of the month with a welcome to Sharon’s nightmare, as the night before her first chemotherapy session, she dreams about everything that could go wrong.

Sharon (Sharon Case) is cooking multiple dinners to get her through the evenings after chemotherapy when she isn’t in the mood or doesn’t have the strength to cook. (Why Rey, Mariah, or Faith can’t do it – or pick up the phone to order in – isn’t made clear.)
She is preparing for life during treatment and tells Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) about the support she’s getting from her online friends. Rey wants to support her, too, but Sharon insists she’s strong and can handle this on her own. She goes upstairs to bed.
Cassie: Ghost of Daughters Past
Cassie (Camryn Grimes) comes to Sharon in a dream, but Sharon thinks her late daughter is there to lead her to her death and orders her away.

Sharon’s sleeping paranoia worsens as she dreams that Rey has moved back to Miami, Mariah is going on tour, and Nick (Joshua Morrow) is back together with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), all because she pushed them away and insisted on handling her own illness her own way. (The nerve! Doesn’t she know that in addition to facing her own disease, Sharon should be worrying about making everyone else happy? Like she does in life?)
Mariah: Ghosts Of Daughters Present
Sharon continues dreaming that Mariah is hosting a talk show where everyone talks about how Sharon’s actions affected her children. She dreams she’s flatlining and wakes up with a scream.
She heads downstairs where Rey and Mariah are discussing how brave and strong she is. They just wish she wasn’t shutting them out. Sharon says she saw Cassie in a dream and realized that this is where she belongs – with them.
Sharon goes back to sleep with Mariah and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), while Cassie watches over them. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
