The Young and the Restless recap for January 13-17, 2020 features Sharon’s loved ones rallying around her and so much more.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

According to Mariah (Camryn Grimes), family means that “you will always, always have people to lean on.” And that’s a sentiment that Sharon (Sharon Case) can really get behind; especially now that she knows for sure that the lump in her breast is a malignant tumor and that her diagnosis is clinical stage 2 cancer.

Billy: Scenes From an (Almost) Marriage

While Sharon contemplated a future full of chemotherapy and surgery, Billy (Jason Thompson) continued to bemoan his very existence and complain that all he wanted from Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was for her to “have a little faith in me, or…accept me for who I am instead of trying to change me or fix me all the time.”

But the straw that seems poised to break these proverbial camel’s back is Vic’s discovery of a bar receipt or, as she more succinctly puts it “the lie I found in Billy’s pocket.” That little slip of paper finally forced Billy to come clean to his partner — but only after his initial lies didn’t land.

And maybe she could understand Billy’s depression and his drowning his sorrows in booze. But what Victoria will not accept is the revelation that he has been spilling his guts to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Moragn).

“Now, “I’m learning that you didn’t love me enough to be honest with me because now you have a new friend who doesn’t judge you the way that I do. Well, I’m SO sorry Billy. Well, at least you don’t love her…right”

YR Musings

Nikki: “Don’t forget for one minute that Adam’s happiness with Chelsea has come at his brother’s expense.” Victor: “Sweetheart, I don’t forget a damn thing.” THERE’s the Victor we all know and love!

“You know the one I feel sorry for is Devon. I mean, he was swindled out of billions of dollars, largely because I pressured him into doing the ‘right’ thing” Yes, yes you did Jill (Jess Walton) and it’s about damn time you own up to your part in all this.

Speaking of Jill, had she treated Nina (Tricia Cast) with one iota of the affection that she shows Lily (Christel Khalil) perhaps she would have actually had a real relationship with her grandson Chance (Donny Boaz). And while we’re talking about the former G-Man…

“We crossed paths a few times, developed a bit of a friendship. He went by the name “Spyder”,” said he didn’t know who Adam Newman was. I didn’t argue.” So let’s get this straight Chance, you knew that Adam (Mark Grossman) was alive and well — and most likely suffering from amnesia — and you didn’t think to let someone, anyone know that he didn’t die in that exploding cabin?!

Which nod to the past surprised you the most? The reference to Devon (Bryton James) and Mariah having dated or Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) romantic interludes with Chance’s half brother Ronan (Jeff Branson)? The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
