The Young and the Restless Recap: A Wedding Day Full of Secrets

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, July 24 ends a week of fan-favorite episodes with the wedding of Devon and Hilary, during which both are keeping secrets. Jack and Phyllis wonder if they’ll ever get justice, while Lauren and Michael wonder if their marriage can be saved. Also, there’s Summer, Mariah, Kevin, and some young people nobody remembers since 2015.

It’s the morning of Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon’s (Bryton James) wedding. The bride spends it visiting her ex-husband, who also happens to be the groom’s father, and asking his forgiveness for the affair she had while they were married – with his son. Neil (Kristoff St. John) says yeah, sure, they’re cool. It’s a good thing he doesn’t hold a grudge…sort of.

Meanwhile, the groom gets a phone call from King Con Colin (Trista Rogers). Colin knows a secret about Devon. Sure would be a shame if he were to spill it, on today of all days.

Victor Wins

Victor (Eric Braeden) hired a Jack (Peter Bergman) lookalike to kidnap Victor’s rival, pretend to be him, and pull off an illegal business deal. And, oh, yeah, more or less rape Jack’s unknowing wife. Jack and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) want Marco – and Victor – brought to justice. Paul (Doug Davidson) shrugs. Yeah, he’ll see what he can do.

And the Rest

Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) and Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman’s) marriage is on the rocks because she had an affair. That’s a pretty good reason. They’re trying to patch it up, but it’s not going well. It doesn’t stop Lauren from offering Hilary marriage advice, though.

Also, Summer (Hunter King) and her friends play sleuth. Dylan (Steve Burton) isn’t impressed. Summer reminds him he’s not a cop, either. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
