The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, July 20 centers on Victor Newman showing an utter lack of self-awareness, as Amanda Sinclair channels Inigo Montoya, Abby Chancellor and Tessa Porter getting their minds put at ease, and Sharon Rosales and Adam Newman reconnecting.

To play hero, Victor (Eric Braeden) taunts Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) into admitting how much he hated the late Richard. Victor taunts the man by claiming that he had betrayed his family – something Victor would never, ever do.
When Sutton counters that Victor has denied and hurt and manipulated his own children for decades, Victor counters that he never left them to their own devices. And he thinks this is actually something to be proud of.
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) records Sutton’s confession, and when he begs to know what she wants from him, Amanda counters, “I want my father back!” (Someone has been staying up, watching The Princess Bride.)

Young and the Restless: Text Message
Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) continue their blame game about who is responsible for Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) disappearing. But then Mariah sends a text promising to be back in time for her next doctor’s appointment, everything is fine again! Even though Tessa does wonder why she is only texting…why no phone call?
Y&R: Flashback Fun
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Adam (Mark Grossman) have a meaningful conversation about how they are never, ever getting back together, and she is oh, so happy with Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), so, this is it, end of the road.
They then both proceed to have incredibly detailed memories (do you remember your conversations word for word, not to mention exactly what you were wearing when you had them), about all the times they broke up, made up, had heartfelt chats, and passionate liplocks. Oh, yeah, these two are most definitely over each other.
