The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, October 6, 2021, finally allows Ashland Locke to spill his latest truth to Victoria Newman. But that’s not the confession that horrifies her the most. Meanwhile, Billy Abbott gets his hands on evidence Victor Newman worked very hard for him not to get, and Adam Newman tries to track down his former brother-in-law.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
OK, they’re in Italy, they’ve had dinner. Ashland (Richard Burgi) is out of stall tactics to keep from answering Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) questions about what Jesse is blackmailing him about. So here goes: Ashland’s benefactor, Camilla, cut him out of her will.
So, Jesse, the Lawyer Sr. forged a letter that worked as a codicil to leave all her money to Ashland. He used it to buy her stations and kick off his media empire. But then Jesse the Lawyer Jr. found proof of his daddy’s double-cross and has been blackmailing Ashland ever since.
Victoria guesses that’s why Ashland bought him off. But Ashland admits, no, that was Victor (Eric Braeden). He did it for his precious baby girl. Victoria does not look pleased to, once again, be someone her daddy protects – without telling her about it. But she is even more concerned about what this means for her company, now that it’s merged with Ashland’s.
Y&R Recap: Gotcha!
Billy’s (Jason Thompson) flunky tracks down Jesse Jr. and he agrees to tell Billy everything. But, first, he needs Billy to promise him protection from Victor. Billy promises. Billy also wonders why Jesse is so determined to bring Ashland down. Jesse claims it’s personal. He’ll tell Billy after he gets his money.
Ashland tells Victoria the only thing Jesse has against him is that his daddy liked Ashland best. Why do we suspect it’s more than that? Again.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) hang out with Billy. Then they tell Adam (Mark Grossman) that Billy had to run off and do some journalism stuff. Adam says, “Hmmm…” and leaves. Elena and Nate talk about shoes.
