The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, August 19, 2020, features Victoria trolling Victor in a way that Victor has never been trolled before. Meanwhile, her family is barking up the wrong tree, Chelsea is attempting to stop Sharon, and the Abbotts are having a thrilling conversation about boxes.

When Victor (Eric Braeden), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Nick (Joshua Morrow), and Adam (Mark Grossman) hear that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has called a press conference, they assume that she is about to expose Adam’s killer secret… and they all yell at her. She tells them to watch the press conference.
There, Victoria announces that she’s selling off the cosmetic division of Newman to Jabot, and the communications arm to Chancellor. Her family fumes, with Victor stomping over and telling Victoria that she is being a bad girl.

Victoria tells Daddy to worry about Adam since he’s the one with psychological issues. According to her, Victoria is just being a good CEO. Now run along, you don’t work here anymore…
Hypno Waves
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) doesn’t like the idea of Sharon mucking around in Adam’s brain. She – like Victor – thinks that Adam should just forget about his missing memories and move on. Sharon offers assurances that she knows Adam better than anyone and that she has been a therapist for minutes. She’s the best person for the job. Shortly thereafter, Chelsea learns about Sharon’s breast cancer, which has a role in changing her mind. Go ahead, hypnotize Adam. They’ll handle whatever she finds in his head.
UnBoxed
Traci (Beth Maitland) tells Abby (Melissa Ordway) that Dina (Marla Adams) mentioned John’s old movie camera, so her children have assumed that means Dina wants to watch some old home movies. Unfortunately, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) couldn’t find any old home movies in the entirety of the Abbott house. Abby remembers that when she lived at Dina’s place in Paris, there was a box of John’s old things. Maybe the movies are there! Yay? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
