The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, August 10, 2021, reveals Victor Newman’s unexpected reaction to Victoria Newman and Ashland Locke’s wedding announcement, while Kevin Fisher reacts to Chloe Mitchell Fisher’s work news, and Phyllis reacts to Summer not running back home to Mommy by turning to a surprising person.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

When Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland (Richard Burgi) announced their engagement, Victor (Eric Braeden) took his time commenting. Eventually, he let it be known that he is pleased.

Ashland is like no other man Victoria has ever been with before – Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Victor is obviously dissing Billy Boy Abbott. He is strong and successful. Just like Victoria’s beloved father. Victor approves! And, what is more, Victor wants to plan Victoria’s wedding. That’s…unexpected. Just how bored is he, these days?

Y&R Recap: On the Job

So bored that he’s also playing Human Resources, telling Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) that he made a mistake hiring Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Adam disagrees.

Meanwhile, Chloe is telling Kevin (Greg Rikaart) how happy she is in her new position. Kevin explains that she’s obviously being used to control Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). He stomps over to Adam’s to warn him Kevin will be watching.

Chloe does miss Chelsea, and, even though Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) warns her against it, she approaches Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) about working together. Sally doesn’t mention that Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) just fired her.

The Young and the Restless: Playing House

Ashland wants to talk to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about Harrison’s custody and isn’t happy to hear that Kyle (Michael Mealor) plans to stay in Milan with Summer (Hunter King).

When Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) refuses to feel as horrible as Phyllis about their daughter choosing to live her own life, Phyllis turns to Jack, telling him she could use a friend. Aaaand, here we go again.
