The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, April 24, 2020, takes viewers back to 1996 when Phyllis plotted to ruin Paul and Christine’s honeymoon, Sharon and Nick had some big news to share, And Victoria juggled the men in her life.
Paul (Doug Davidson) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) were blissfully happy enjoying their honeymoon, while Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) lurked on the hotel grounds, thinking of ways to ruin it. Why did Phyllis want to throw a monkey wrench into their good time?
It’s because she blamed Christine for the fact that Danny (Michael Damien) loved Christine and not Phyllis. Even though they’re not together anymore. And Christine doesn’t want Danny anymore. She’s married to Paul. That’s what a honeymoon is.
So how did Phyllis express her displeasure? Where do you think the expression: An octopus in your honeymoon bed come from? (It’s not an expression? It should be!)
Victor (Eric Braeden) wanted to know why Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) were throwing a party. Nick said it’s because of their six-month anniversary.
Sharon confided to her own mother that it’s to announce she and Nick are having a baby. Doris worried what this will mean for the young couple’s marriage. Sharon insisted it will be fine. It will be. Sort off. That baby to be is Noah (Robert Adamson).
Victoria’s (then-Heather Tom) husband, Cole (remember how, in the Nikki and Victor wedding flashback, Victor was talking about his illegitimate son, Charles; that’s Cole, his name is no longer Charles, and he’s no longer Victor’s son) – Cole wondered how his wife managed to lose her bikini.
Victoria shrugs innocently. While remembering trying to taunt Ryan (Scott Reeves – real-life husband of Days Of Our Lives’ Melissa Reeves) into a skinny dip. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
