The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, August 3, 2020 kicks off a week of Genoa City’s most shocking moments with a 1986 episode where everyone is shocked by a photo of a naked Paul – especially Paul! Plus, Victor is torn between Nikki and Ashley, and Jack doesn’t like Brad. Don’t expect either issue to be settled in a single episode. Or a year. Or a decade.
Lauren (Tracey Bregman) is so proud of being married to sexy stud Paul (Doug Davidson), that she sent in a nude picture of him to a magazine contest. Paul won! And now Lauren doesn’t know why she did it in the first place! She could tell her husband, so he isn’t confused about why women all over town are looking at him and giggling. But she’d rather his best friend, Andy (Steven Ford – yes, the former president’s son), and her friend, Amy (Stephanie J. Williams) do the dirty work for her.
Meanwhile, Mary (Carolyn McCormack) and Carl sure are proud that their son has been tapped by the mayor to head an anti-porn commission. Until a lady from Mary’s church shows Mom the centerfold. And Carl calls in a female officer to explain why she has a naked picture of his son up on a bulletin board? There is a sexual harassment lawsuit in there somewhere for one of them.
Matt (Robert Parucha) is angry at Victor (Eric Braeden) for dumping Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and going back to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Jack (then-Terry Lester) is angry that Traci (Beth Maitland) marrying Brad (Don Diamont) has moved the former pool boy into the mansion – and into the Jabot executive suite. There is nothing either Matt can do about Ashley, or Jack can do about Brad. Won’t stop them trying, though. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
