The Young and the Restless recap for November 2-6, 2020, features Adam boarding the crazy train, Dina stirring up trouble from beyond the grave, and more.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

When he wasn’t busy hallucinating a conversation with his younger self inside a colorless haze, Adam (Mark Grossman) set about signing for some seriously suspicious packages and arranging Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) kidnapping.

He doesn’t have any real intention of hurting his ex, but Adam just can’t have her interfering in his plans. And they’re some serious plans. To quote the man himself, they will culminate in the worst thing he’s ever done. And considering he has a few bodies in his wake, that’s saying something.

Victoria (Amelia Henile) and Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) think that their baby brother is all bravado and no follow through. But Victor (Eric Braeden) is on to his errant offspring. Will he be able to stop him in time?

Probably not. Especially since he’s arranging for the two of them to meet in the same location that Adam has decided to stage his final anti-Neman family protest.

To Remember Her By

Dina’s (Marla Adams) wake and will reading were chock full of goodness. There were some laughs, some tears, and a whole lot acrimony. And a WHOLE lot of pouty, pissy Kyle (Michael Mealor). Side note: Are we suppose to be rooting for him? Are we even suppose to like him? Because he’s a spoiled brat. And very, very unlikeable.

YR Musings

Theo (reading a note penned by Dina to his father): “Mr. Vanderway. Stuart Brooks and I are your biological parents. We had an encounter when I was too young to care for a child. When Stuart died, he left me something in his will. I now pass it on to you.”

Now THIS is the real Dina. Detached, pragmatic, and thorough. Not the lovey-dovey, family oriented woman she’s been made out to be the last few years. With that said…A PEN?! She left her first-born child A PEN? Also, we wonder what Liz Foster, Stuart’s widow, made of him gifting Dina a pen in his will.

And since we know who got shortchanged, who do YOU think received the best bequest? The Abbott siblings who get to split Dina’s change? Abby (Melissa Ordway) who got a Paris apartment. Or Kyle who received a cache of valuable artwork?

Hello, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)! Welcome to GC…and may your stay be longer than your stint in SoCal. It was inspired to introduce her to the twenty-something set first – as was the reveal that she and Theo (Tyler Johnson) were old acquaintances – and then play her off established vets like Jack (Peter Bergman) and Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman). THIS is how you introduce a new character.

Sally: “Well, my great-aunt Sally is my biggest inspiration.” Lauren: “She and I had quite a few adventures together.” Sally: “I have heard some stories.” Lauren: “Oh please…not the one about the picture in the Bible at Stephanie’s wedding.”

Jordan, Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) new bestie, continues to skeeve us out. Exactly what was in that purse that she presented to our favorite, pint-sized heroine? Also, kudos to Faith for telling Adam EXACTLY what she though of him. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
